The MID-O-GAS unit is a self administering analgesic unit for use in obstetrics, minor surgery, burn dressing and transport of accident victims.

• The demand valve operates on minimum patient inspiration and the flow of gas ceases automatically at the end of the inspiration
• Safety locked at minimum of 25% Oxygen
• Emergency Oxygen
• In the event of Oxygen failure, air is automatically admitted and an audible whistle sounds
• A clear to read “Oxygen/Nitrous Oxide” scale
• ON / OFF rotating switch, which controls supply of both gases
• Low resistance expiratory valve ensures patient comfort
• A handpiece that enables gases to be scavenged via connection to a scavenging unit
• Suitable for Wall-Mounting
• Offers the advantages of a Nitrous Oxide / Oxygen mixture over other agents for relief of pain. These include:-
  1. Analgesia is attained rapidly
  2. The mixture is quickly eliminated
  3. No drug incompatibilities to Nitrous Oxide
  4. No considerations of pungency, smell or irritation
  5. There is no “hang-over” effect
